D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), March 17, 2025 — White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took the Associated Press to task in a fiery Sunday Morning Futures interview with Maria Bartiromo, calling out the media’s relentless resistance to President Trump’s economic and immigration policies.

The exchange followed a heated press briefing where an AP reporter attempted to challenge Leavitt on Trump’s tariff strategy. Leavitt wasted no time in exposing the media’s economic illiteracy, pointing out that tariffs will generate massive revenue, paving the way for larger tax cuts and higher wages for American workers. “I think it’s insulting that you’re trying to test my knowledge of economics,” she shot back, before slamming the press for its ongoing attempts to undermine Trump’s success.

Leavitt highlighted the broader “resist” mentality infecting not just the media but also activist judges, who have issued 15 injunctions in one month to stall Trump’s agenda—more than Biden faced in his entire presidency. “President Trump is acting within the bounds of the law,” she declared, warning that the administration is fully prepared to fight back against judicial overreach.

Turning to the border, Leavitt celebrated a 99% drop in illegal crossings through the Darien Gap, proving that the crisis was never about needing new laws, but about needing a president who actually enforces them. She also announced breaking news that Trump had invoked the Alien Enemies Act to deport nearly 300 violent Tren de Aragua gang members, responsible for heinous crimes against American citizens. “They are now behind bars in El Salvador where they belong, instead of roaming freely in our communities,” she said.

Leavitt closed with a warning to the media, the activist courts, and the political establishment: “Don’t bet against President Trump.”
