“John Feinstein was a respected journalist, sports commentator, and best-selling author, known for his in-depth coverage of basketball, football, and golf. A Duke University graduate, he started his career at The Washington Post in 1977 as a night police reporter before becoming one of the most influential voices in sports journalism.”

“Feinstein wrote over 40 books, including the iconic ‘A Season on the Brink’, which provided an inside look at Indiana basketball coach Bob Knight and his team. The book became a New York Times Best-Seller and was later adapted into an ESPN film in 2002.”

“Beyond his books, Feinstein was a beloved sports voice on TV and radio. He contributed to The Washington Post, Sporting News, and Golf Digest and made frequent appearances on The Golf Channel, The Jim Rome Show, and The Tony Kornheiser Show.”
