Roseblud: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert – "Stains"

This is our submission for 2023’s Tiny Desk Concert Contest. I wrote this song and poem after my uncle’s death, while simultaneously dealing with the loss of my first real long-term relationship. It was hard to find the joy I had so foolishly taken for granted before, and everything was marked with a sadness. This song helped me to change my perspective, and remember the beauty in the mess and imperfections. Even in sorrow, there is still joy to be found.
