Optus services have been down since early this morning, with the telecommunication company saying it has yet to identify the root issue behind the outage.
The Victorian Ambulance Union’s Danny Hill says the blackout has left patients with a medical emergency in “dire straits”.
Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin says the telco giant has still not identified the cause of its nationwide outage.
She apologised for the inconvenience this has caused and said Optus technicians “will not rest” until the problem is rectified.
