The Australian’s Associate Editor Jenna Clarke says it will be interesting to see how the ABC responds after Josh Szeps announced mid-show that he had decided to quit his role at ABC Radio Sydney Afternoons.
“Full credit to him, he did it live on air, threw in a couple of spicy words as he said and I find it really interesting when you delve a bit deeper into Josh,” Ms Clarke told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“He did present Afternoons in Sydney, he always had really fascinating takes and I think what I really enjoyed about him as a broadcaster and what I will continue to enjoy when he moves into his podcast world is the fact that you never really know where he’s going to land on a subject.
“He’s like a palate cleanser for opinion in this country so I think it’s created that the fact that he’s put it out there and said I don’t want any more bull dust.
“It’s going to be interesting to see what he does next and see how the ABC responds and who they put in the chair to replace him.”
