ABC News host Glen Bartholomew talks to WOB Executive Director Claire Braund about the likely impact of the WGEA ‘s Workplace Gender Equality Amendment (Closing the Gender Pay Gap) Bill 2023.
The package of reforms requires the WGEA to publish employer gender pay gaps for private sector and Commonwealth public sector employers. This will be done by mean, median and employer remuneration quartile and means that from 2024 employees will have access to data on how their organisation is performing on gender equality
Here Claire discusses the likely impact of the reforms on the gender pay gap and compares this to Women on Boards’ experience stemming back to 2010, when we started publishing similar data for our Board Diversity Index.
