ABC host quits citing being ‘too spicy’ for the organisation

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the former host of Afternoons on ABC Sydney, Josh Szeps, decided to quit his job, citing he was “too spicy” for the ABC.

“He decided to sort of quit his job on air saying he was too spicy for the ABC – he liked too much debate, but when he listed the topics he’s got strong views on, it’s the same of green left stuff,” Mr Kenny said.

The host of Afternoons on ABC Sydney, Josh Szeps, told listeners he was leaving the public broadcaster to spend more time with his young family and work on other projects.

Mr Szeps also cited his popular podcast ‘Uncomfortable Conversations’ as another reason for leaving the show.

Mr Kenny sat down with The Daily Telegraph’s Tim Blair to discuss the now former ABC host Josh Szeps quitting the program, abruptly, live on air.
